Whether you’re new to skiing or a seasoned pro looking for your next thrill, Shawnee Mountain offers trails to suit every skill level. From long, scenic runs for beginners to quick, thrilling steeps for advanced skiers, here’s our guide to the best trails on the mountain.

For Beginners: Perfect Runs to Build Confidence

Upper and Lower Pennsylvania: This top-to-bottom trail is perfect for beginners looking for a longer, scenic ride. With a gentle gradient and plenty of space to practice your turns, it’s a favorite for first-timers and families alike. It’s also the longest trail on the mountain so take your time and enjoy the run!
Kittatinny to Greenhouse: Kittatinny is another excellent choice for beginners. It starts out with a cat walk but your hard work is rewarded as you sail over the bridge and onto a wide, slow gradient. Kit connects seamlessly into Greenhouse via Lower PA for a fun, flowing run that keeps things interesting.
Pro Tip: Start early in the day for quieter slopes and plenty of space to practice.
For Intermediates: Challenging Runs with Fun Features
For those with a bit more experience under their belt, Shawnee Mountain has some fantastic intermediate trails to explore. These runs offer a mix of challenge and fun, perfect for refining your skills.
Upper to Lower Bushkill: This run kicks off with a nice fall line at the top, making it an exciting start for intermediate skiers. It mellows out toward the middle, giving you time to relax and enjoy the ride before one more drop at the end. Plus, the scenic ride up F Lift makes it a favorite for intermediate adventurers. Fun Fact: If you spend time on Bushkill, you’ll notice that there’s actually a ‘Lower Bushkill’ and an even ‘Lower Bushkill,’ one of which is not on our trail map.

Upper to Lower Delaware: Looking for some freestyle fun? This trail features some terrain park action along the way, perfect for skiers and riders who want to add a little creativity to their runs. The balance of park features and smooth sections makes it a versatile option for intermediates. Don’t let the curve on Lower Del get you — if you make it around you’ll have a speedy drop toward the base.
Pro Tip: The parks on Delaware are great for trying out features if you’re new to freestyle skiing or snowboarding.
For Advanced Skiers: Thrills and Steeps
Ready for a challenge? Shawnee Mountain’s advanced trails deliver steep gradients, wide-open runs, and the adrenaline rush you’re looking for.
Renegade: Known for its steepness, Renegade is a must-try for advanced skiers. It’s a short but thrilling run that’ll have you carving hard and loving every second.

Lower Arrowhead: This trail’s wide, open layout makes it perfect for those who love big turns and fast runs. Whether you’re carving up the snow or testing your speed, Lower Arrowhead offers advanced skiers the room to let loose.
Pro Tip: Head to these trails early or during off-peak times to enjoy the best snow conditions and fewer crowds. First tracks, anyone?
