SUMMARY:Bigfoot Snowshoe Race
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and challenging race this winter! \n  Strap on your snowshoes and race up AND down the mountain! This is a timed race on closed trails. After the race and award ceremony\, you’re welcome to hit the slopes and ski/ride with your lift ticket. Snowshoes will not be allowed on the hill after the race has ended. \nAll race proceeds will be donated to the Bushkill Outreach food pantry.\nRegistration:\nRace entry includes professionally timed event and online results\, raffle ticket entry\, bigfoot water bottle\, and access to free race photos. \n$30 Race Entry\n$60 Entry with a full day lift ticket\n$15 to rent snowshoes \nBYO Snowshoes or rent ours! Snowshoe rentals will be available and are first come first served\, limited quantities. \nregister hereRace Day Schedule\n8:15 AM – Check in at Upper Trepp Lodge. Snowshoes will be fitted on Trepp deck.\n9:00 AM – Race start at bottom of Lower Bushkill trail.\nFollowing conclusion of race – Awards ceremony in Trepp Lodge immediately followed by raffle drawing.* If the weather is nice\, we’ll hold the ceremony out by the fire pit again this year! \n* Timing company will need to pack up before the awards ceremony can commence. Hit the bathroom\, grab a snack\, and meet us in the lodge! \nRace Course\nThe race course will be approximately 2 miles\, depending on snow coverage.\nThe end of the race will be Lower Bushkill to reach the finish line. \nAge Categories & Awards\nNEW age categories this year to better represent our racers!\n1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd in both male and female of each age group will win a medal. \n\n39 and under\n40 – 55\n56 and over\n\nOverall male and female 1st place finishers will win a brand new pair of snowshoes! \nRaffle PrizesEach racer will receive one complimentary raffle ticket with their entrance fee\, and the raffle will immediately follow the awards ceremony. When you pick up your race packet\, you’ll get to enjoy: \n\nBigfoot water bottle\nNuun hydration tablets\n\nAbout Bushkill Outreach\nAll race proceeds will be donated to the Bushkill Outreach food pantry.\nBushkill Outreach Program is a community food pantry serving  Lehman Township in Pike County and Middle Smithfield Township in Monroe County\, Pennsylvania\, that has been serving people in the community for more than 30 years. It started out as a community social center whose members began to help out a few local families in need around the holidays. Over the years\, the program has grown considerably\, and it is now a state-registered food pantry\, serving food to approximately 1\,000 people on a monthly basis. \nThe Bushkill Outreach is currently in need of all types of food donations such as shelf-stable\, nutritious items. Monetary donations are also appreciated and you can do so on their website here. Food donations can be dropped off on Tuesdays\, Wednesdays\, and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm at 216 Lehman Park Road\, Bushkill\, PA 18324.
